Ayanna Scoggin, MD

Ayanna B. Scoggin-Thomas, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and an integral member of the team at Union Spine and Pain Management, with offices in Union, Scotch Plains, Bloomfield, South Bound Brook, New Brunswick, Old Bridge, and Woodbridge, New Jersey. Through her work at the practice, Dr. Scoggin-Thomas improves the lives of those in her care. 

Education has always been a guiding force in Dr. Scoggin-Thomas’ life. She earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia. Dr. Scoggin-Thomas continues to seek out opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills. 

In addition to earning board certification in anesthesiology, Dr. Scoggin-Thomas is also certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. She prides herself on staying abreast of technological advancements within anesthesiology care. 

Dr. Scoggin-Thomas has held several general and cardiothoracic anesthesia positions, including leadership roles. Her experience spans numerous areas of practice, including pediatric, neurologic, gynecologic, endoscopic, and orthopedic.
